Trapezoidal Bricks - Perhaps First in the World

Why did we mold our modular interlocking bricks to be trapezoidal in shape? This is a deviation from the traditional rectangular shaped bricks. Because by doing so, the design creates lateral or side locks similar to a tongue and groove, thereby locking the bricks on both sides. The interlocking feature is now complete. The bricks don't just lock brick onto brick but brick along side brick.
